Event overview:

The construction sector contributes over £120 billion to the UK economy each year and accounts for over 300,000 businesses, most of which are SMEs. For the sector to become more productive, innovative new methods must be adopted which in turn will attract new talent. Currently, skills shortages account for more than a third of construction vacancies and almost half of all manufacturing and skilled trades vacancies.

At Leeds Trinity University, we are keen to work closely with the sector to address skills shortages and develop the next generation of talent, as we welcome students to a suite of new programmes in Construction and the Built Environment. At this event, delegates will hear from sector experts and explore how we build a younger, diverse and more innovative workforce.

Who should attend?

This event would be of interest to HR directors, CEOs and COOs from leading sector companies, professional bodies and relevant sector groups, regional growth and business support teams.
